Beijing's planned new hotels will no longer provide disposable consumer goods

On October 14, Beijing Municipal Commission of urban management recently drafted the amendment to Beijing Municipal Solid Waste Management Regulations (Draft for review) for public comments. Catering business units and catering distribution service providers shall not actively provide consumers with disposable tableware. The hotel business unit shall not actively provide consumers with one-off daily necessities in the guest room. If the violator fails to make corrections within the time limit, he shall be fined not less than 1000 yuan but not more than 5000 yuan.
It has become the trend of hotel industry not to provide disposable daily necessities. In addition to Marriott, intercontinental, Hilton and other chain hotels have made similar decisions. This year, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places also began to require hotels not to actively provide customers with "six small pieces" (toothbrush, comb, razor, shoe wipe, bath wipe, nail file) disposable products.
Japan's tourism and accommodation industry has done so since the late 1980s and the early 1990s, advocating that guests bring these things tO Hotels. Many hotels will set up vending machines downstairs (on the first floor). Guests can buy their own supplies. Some hotels have a small shop nearby to sell these things. On The\ One hand, it can reduce pollution, on the other hand, it can promote economy.
So, will the hotel provide disposable daily necessities affect people's choice? According to a survey, 42.5% of the respondents prefer to stay in a hotel that does not provide disposable daily necessities, 34.9% prefer to stay in a hotel that does, and 22.6% said it doesn't matter.
Further investigation shows that if the hotel does not provide disposable daily necessities, 74.8% of the respondents will carry necessary daily necessities, 58.3% of the respondents will buy in the supermarket near the hotel, and 28.6% of the respondents will buy from the hotel.
